ENSURE
MASSIVE SUCCESS OF HUMAN CHAIN ON 22ND JUNE 2017
It is nearly one year
since the Group of Ministers led by Shri. Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Home Minister
assured the leadership of NJCA that the grievances of the employees would
addressed within four months by revisiting the minimum wage and fitment factor
and also on allowances.
The Committees’ setting
up itself took nearly one month. Nobody, for sure, know whether any committee
has been set up on the issue of minimum
wage and fitment factor. It is nearly two months since the Lavasa Committee submitted
its report on allowances. The Govt is sitting pretty on it.
Never in the past, since
the 1st CPC, has happened this way – that the revised allowances are
not paid along with revised pay. The Employees’ grievance on lowering the rates
of allowances by the 7 CPC could have been separately dealt with after implementation
of what has been recommended.
The intention is quite
clear – to deprive the Central Govt employees of the monetary benefit of
revised allowances for more than a year.
It is high time that we
react to this betrayal by expressing our anger in a unique manner, massively.
The Confederation of
Central Govt Employees and Workers have given a call for forming HUMAN CHAIN
ON 22ND JUNE 2017 in every centre.
All our Units are
requested to mobilise the membership for the HUMAN CHAIN and ensure
their total involvement.
The call for HUMAN
CHAIN is to be observed under the banner of local COCs of Confederation.
Where COC is not functional, our Units are requested to organise it ourselves.
Our leaders may contact CG employees of other departments too. If none is
available, then we may do it in front of our office.
We may do intensive campaign
and mobilise the entirety of personnel working in our offices.
We also may request
Units of All India Audit & Accounts Officers Association also to join the HUMAN
CHAIN on 22nd June 2017.
