Dear
Comrades,
SUCCESSFUL STRIKE ON 2ND
SEPTEMBER 2016 -
MORE THAN 15 CRORE WORKERS STRUCK
WORK
HQrs
of All India Audit & Accounts Association extends its warm greetings to
more than 15 crore workers for the successful strike on 2nd September
against the disastrous economic policies pursued by the government of the day
and in pursuance of the 12 point charter of demands. We also greet all the
central government employees for their participation in the strike called by
the Central Trade Unions.
Our
members participated in the strike in Kerala, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Agartala,
Kolkata and Chandigarh (Punjab). In Hyderabad, Gwalior and Delhi the Executive
Committee went on strike and held demonstrations. In Chennai, Allahabad and
Bhopal lunch hour demonstrations were held. In Kolkata, the Executive Committee
and activists participated in the strike and sat on dharna in offices of AG
(A&E), AG (Audit) and DGA (Central) whereas the strike was total in other
offices.
We
once again greet all the workers for their splendid participation in the one
day strike on 2nd September 2016. Press Statement issued by
Confederation is enclosed.
We
take this opportunity to have self introspection with regard to the
participation of audit & accounts personnel in the strike so that
corrective steps are taken for future.
CONDEMN INVOKING OF ESMA ON NURSES’
STRIKE IN DELHI
The
Aam Aadmi Party led Govt in Delhi and Lt General of Delhi are one in crushing
the strike by Nurses of various state & central govt hospitals of Delhi
demanding rectification of anomalies out of 7 CPC recommendations. Instead of
engaging the striking Nurses through negotiations the Delhi Govt has invoked
Essential Service Maintenance Act (ESMA) to deal with the strike. This shows
the anti-working class character of AAP Govt of Delhi. We condemn the brutality
unleashed on the Nurses of Delhi.
With
greetings,
Yours fraternally
(M.S.Raja)
Secretary General
