cadres in IA&AD, formation of Departmental Committee – Reg.
Sir,
Indian Audit & Accounts
Department had its one and the only one cadre restructuring in March 1984, after
protracted negotiations.
33 years have gone by, all other
Departments in the Government of India such as CBDT, CBEC, Ministry of
Railways, Department of Posts and Central Secretariat had more than one cadre
restructuring during this 33 years.
5th and 6th
CPC made specific recommendations for periodic restructuring of cadres in all
Departments/Ministries to address the issue of stagnations in many cadres
across the Departments/Ministries. And every one of the aforementioned
Departments/Ministries undertook the task of cadre restructuring through a
mechanism of Departmental Committees with representation from staff side.
It is, therefore, requested that a
Committee on Cadre Restructuring is formed by the Department with
representation to all the recognised Federations.
